TestGen

Test authoring tool.

Exporting different test versions.

does testgen track versions of a test internally? In other words if I have a test with 5 questions (version A), then I scramble the questions and answers (version b) and then I scramble again (version c).
Is there a way to export these together or is each version independent of the previous? Basically, no version tracking is happening.

thanks

I see an option to export test to Desire2Learn. Are there any issues with this? Does it work correctly?

Used Questions

Is there an indicator showing questions used? So I don't reuse questions previously used in a test.

No way to retrieve off screen window

I'm using a MacBook Air (Yosemite) with version 7 of TestGen.

I usually have an extra monitor, but am not using it now. My test document, however, doesn't adjust to appear on my screen and I have tried EVERYTHING in order to get it to appear. For most applications, such as Safari, you can use a Zoom command under windows to relocate the window. For others, you can delete the "Saved Application State" file and it fixes it when it rebuilds.

Testgen and OS10.10

I'd like to know if there is any version of Testgen that will work on a Mac computer using the Yosemite OS 10.10?
Also Pearson only has Testgen version 7.5 available but your website says there is a newer version. How can I get this newer version if it works on Yosemite OS?

Screen drawing issues (missing toolbar) in Windows 7

Hello -

I'm an IT guy for a school and I'm having some issues with a TestGen Windows 7 install. It only happens on one computer.

The issue is that the toolbar and buttons on dialog boxes are missing. If I click and drag the main TestGen window around the screen, the area where the toolbar should be shows a trail of whatever is behind it. Hard to describe but we've all probably seen a similar effect at least once.

Font Problem

I upgraded from TestGen 7.5.2 to 7.6.3. The default settings for any new question added, any new answer added, etc., call for Palatino Linotype 10 point font, which I believe was the default.

Now any questions that I add have Times New Roman as their default font.

I have copied and pasted empty questions where I set the font to Palatino Linotype (manually) and when the question is pasted, the font is switched to Times New Roman.

This is very frustrating and only happened after I upgraded.

What can I do to remedy this problem? Please advise.
