QuizMaster7.3-Problem with "Student Review" feature.

While students complete a QuizMaster7.3 test and try do a review by clicking next/previous button, after one or two questions the application could not continue and quits.

Is there a fix for this problem?

TestGen Forums:

We are not aware of such a problem. Lets see if we can get to the bottom of this one. Some questions:

(1) Does QuizMaster crash on only the test mentioned above, or is this problem seen on other tests as well?

(2) On the test that is crashing, does it crash on a particular question or does it appear to be somewhat random?

(3) Do you get an error message and/or number after the crash?

(4) What kind of computers are students using to take the test?

Jeff

Referring to your questions:

1) The problem is with all tests.
2) Students could not continue their review beyond 2-3 questions.
3)

4) Using Intel P4 computers running Windows XP service pack 3, Internet explorer 7.

Please, note that this problem is with QuizMaster7.3 only, earlier versions worked well in the past.

Thank you.

Its a bug, sorry. We have a fix for you on the Downloads page. Thank you for bringing this up in our support forum.

The same thing happens with my mac and MyMathLab by Course Compass.

We looked into this but cannot seem to reproduce the problem. Can you give us more specific information on what and when it is occurring so we can help you? For example:

  1. What browser (and version) are you using?
  2. Does it crash exactly as described previously (during student review after a test has been taken)? If not, please elaborate.
  3. Do you get any specific error messages, or does the browser just quit?
  4. Course Compass uses our TestGen plug-in. Do you know what version you are running? You can check the version by going here: http://support.pearsoncmg.com/testgen/tgPluginTest.htm.

Jeff

I had the same problem working with this application at university. We have tried various methods with the help of our programmers but nothing has worked. It is funny that after 5 hours of trying to do something, we decided to reinstall it and then everything worked just fine. Now everything is working ok for over 2 months.

Sincerely,
