Product Support Options

Contact your publisher for technical support if you cannot find the answer to your question or problem in one of the ways listed below.

TestGen Help Menu

Select "Help" from TestGen's Help menu to open the TestGen help system in your web browser. TestGen Help provides a full description of all the features in TestGen, along with a table of contents and a Search function to help you quickly locate the information you need. Help topics can also be printed, if desired.

If you are not connected to the Internet, you'll be given the option to view a pdf version of the TestGen User's Guide.

How Do I Tour

The TestGen Help menu has a "How Do I?" option that links to tutorials that illustrate the main functions of TestGen. The tutorials open and run in your web browser.

Online Product Support

Select "Online Product Support" from TestGen's Help menu to open your web browser and display a form where you can report problems or ask questions. Complete the form and click the Send Mail button at the bottom of the form. You will receive a response from the Pearson Customer Technical Support team.

Online Software Download

Choose this option from TestGen's Help menu to connect your web browser to Pearson's TestGen Instructor Site (http://www.pearsoned.com/testgen) where you can download the TestGen application, the TestGen plug-in, and textbook-specific testbanks. To access this site, you need to enter the login ID and password assigned to you by Pearson, usually the same ones you use to access the Pearson Education Instructor Resource Center (IRC) or online products such as CourseCompass, Math XL, MyMathLab, or EconLab.

Follow the on-screen directions to select, download, and install the files you need.

Check for Program Updates

You can specify on the Help menu whether or not you want TestGen to check for program updates each time you start TestGen. Choose "Enable Check for Updates" or "Disable Check for Updates," depending on your preference. Your computer needs to be connected to the Internet in order to check for and download updates.

When it checks for updates, the TestGen program closes and you see the updater window. The updater lets you know if new files are available and you can download them immediately, if desired, after which the TestGen program restarts. If you already have the most recent version of the program or if you choose not to update immediately, the updater closes and the TestGen program restarts.
