TestGen Plug-in Test Page

To confirm successful installation of the TestGen Plug-in, check for the display of a test box below. The test box contents should appear here:

If you see a test box above (its contents should be similar to this image), then the TestGen Plug-in installed successfully on your computer. The box will display the version of the Plug-in that has been installed.
If not, print this page and refer to the troubleshooting table below.

TestGen Plug-in 6.x and 7.x Troubleshooting Tips

Note You must have administrative rights on your computer to install the TestGen Plug-in or access many of the folders described here. If you do not, contact the administrator at your site for assistance.

Check that all files were installed.
Locate your browser's Plugins folder and see if it contains the TestGen Plug-in files listed below. For Windows users, the Plugins folder is typically located at C:\Program Files\<browser_name>\Plugins. For Mac users, the Plugins folder is typically located at /Library/Internet Plug-Ins.

Note If you have an earlier version of the TestGen Plug-in installed on your computer, you may see additional files with an extension of .ttf or .suit in the Plugins folder. These files are TestGen font files that were used by previous versions of the program—do not delete them.

If any of these files are missing, re-install the TestGen Plug-in. Check the files again.

Configure IE browser settings

If you are using Internet Explorer, you may have to modify your browser settings to allow cookies (information that a website stores on your hard disk so that it can remember something about you at a later time).

To configure Internet Explorer browser settings:

Select Internet Options from the Internet Explorer Tools menu.
On the Security tab, select Custom Level. Select Enable under Run ActiveX controls and Plug-ins.
On the Advanced tab, select Enable third-party browser extensions under Browsing.
On the Privacy tab, move the slider to Low.

Note If you do not have a slider on the Privacy tab, select the Advanced button. Then, select Override automatic cookie handling. Select Accept under First party cookiesand Third-party cookies. Select Always allow session cookies, then click OK.
