General Questions

Q: Can I use old TestGen testbanks and tests with new versions of TestGen?

A: Yes. When you install TestGen, you can open testbanks and tests that were created with earlier versions of the TestGen program. Old testbanks and tests are automatically converted to work with the new TestGen program. (Note: Once you convert a testbank or test to work with a newer version of the program, you cannot open it again later with an older version of the program.)

Q: I'm working with an older version of TestGen and would like to upgrade. How can I get a newer version?

A: TestGen 7 has a "Check for Updates" option on the Help menu so you can connect to a web site and download the latest version.

Q: Where can I obtain a copy of TestGen to make tests for my classes?

A: TestGen is available for instructors who use textbooks published by Allyn & Bacon, Addison Wesley, Benjamin Cummings, Longman ELT, Longman, and all divisions of Prentice Hall Higher Education. Select titles are also available from Pearson Education Canada, UK, and Australia, and Oxford University Press-Canada. Contact your textbook sales representative for more details.

Q: How can I report a problem or request a new feature for TestGen?

A: Contact the publisher of the textbook and testbank you are using or send comments and ideas directly to Tamarack.
